Magnus CarterMAGNUS CARTER, MSc, FCIPR, is a specialist in message development, reputational risk and crisis communications. He began his career as a journalist in north east England, later working as a freelance for UK national newspapers. He then made the switch to broadcast news and current affairs, first in Scotland and later in London. After many years with the BBC, he also worked for LBC, Independent Radio News, ITN and TV-AM.

Magnus founded Mentor Consultancy in 1998, and now operates independently as its Head of Reputation Management. His clients include Ashridge and Hult International Business Schools, Croda International, GWR, KPMG, Olympia, ONS, the R&A, Research Councils UK, the Universities of Bristol, Sheffield and Southampton, and several health service organisations. He is a trainer for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and was awarded the organisation’s Fellowship in 2014.
