Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: a message from the CIPR East Anglia volunteer committee re Best PRactice Conference 2020
Along with a lot of organisations and businesses, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the news, and following advice from the Government and the CIPR about events.
Given the current circumstances, we’ve decided to postpone our Best PRactice 2020 Conference from Thursday 14th May until a date later in the year, to be confirmed.
We are speaking with our venue and speakers at the moment to see what we can do at a later date, and will update everyone once we are in a position to confirm more details.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Thank you also to everyone who bought a ticket to the event. You should have received an email giving you the option for a refund via Eventbrite.

The CIPR East Anglia Best PRactice Conference is the region’s biggest annual PR and communications event.
This is your chance to tap into current hot PR and comms topics like fake news, the changing digital landscape, crisis comms and creating standout campaigns. The programme will include a mixture of talks and workshops, with best practice takeaways to bring back to your workplace. It’s also a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, and connect with other PR and communications professionals from across the East of England.
This year’s speakers include: 2020 CIPR President-Elect, Mandy Pearse; Alex Aitken, Executive Director for Government Communications; Sue Keogh of Sookio; Joe Glover, founder of The Marketing Meetup; Barney Brown, Head of Digital at the University of Cambridge; and Jenny Sanchis, CIPR EA Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year 2019, with more being confirmed in the coming weeks.
Read the blog we published the week we were due to hold the conference, which reflects on the strength of our speaker line-up and includes links to guest blogs by some of our speakers.
