What is the difference between a resurrection body and a glorified body?

Part of the problem is that different folks may use the terms "resurrection body" and "glorified body" in different ways. As I use these terms, I would use them interchangeably.

The key texts, in my opinion, are probably 1 Corinthians 15 (especially verses 35-58) and 2 Corinthians 5:1-10. Another key text would be Philippians 1:21-23.

I believe the Bible teaches that when a New Testament saint dies, his spirit immediately enters into the presence of God ("to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"). His (or her) earthly body remains in the grave, awaiting the return of Christ and its resurrection and transformation. As I understand it, when Christ returns to this earth again our spirit, which has been present with the Lord, is then united with our resurrection body, which is also our "glorified body."

I think it is safe to say that for our Lord His resurrection body is also His glorified body. I believe that we will behold the nail-pierced hands for all eternity.
